Jaitley stresses on need to address inadequacies in rural finance market

Advises NABARD to focus on financial inclusion, farm credit to small and marginal farmers

The Union Finance Minister while addressing the board of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) stressed on the need to remove the inadequacies in the rural finance market.

He advised NABARD to focus in areas such as financial inclusion, farm credit to the small and marginal farmers besides those farmers who do not have clear title deeds to the farms they till.

The meeting was also attended by Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Finance, R K Goyal, Secretary, Rural Development and members from the Department of Financial Services (DFS).
