Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today asked banks to lower the interests on loan to women of Self-help Groups (SHG) under the Bihar state livelihood projects.
Addressing a function to mark the launch of the second phase of the state livelihood projects, Kumar said it had come in handy for the women of the SHG executing the livelihood projects.
"We have now now expanded the coverage of the projects to 26 more blocks in eight other districts from the 18 blocks of six districts undertaken in the first phase during the past two years," he said.
"We are happy that the projects have taken off perfectly in a backward state like Bihar and we will concentrate more", he said.
