"West Bengal's growth is higher than the national average. We are growing very fast. In small scale sector there is huge turnout. We are doing very well," Hakim said at the inauguration of Industrial India Trade Fair here.
He said since there was "recession everywhere", big investments were not coming to Bengal as was happening in other states.

During the inaugural ceremony, Bangladesh commerce minister Tofail Ahmed took up the issue of lack of access given to Bangladeshi TV channels in India.
"Your channels are easily seen in Bangladesh, but it is very difficult for our channels to find a place here. The cost is very high," Ahmed said. He urged Indian investors to do business in Bangladesh.
