Govt appoints Ravneet Kaur on the PNB board

Joint Secretary in Finance Ministry's Department of Financial Services, Ravneet Kaur was appointed as the nominee director on the bank's board, the bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.     

Kaur would replace Rakesh Singh who has already tendered his resignation from the PNB board on May 27. 
    
Under the Banking Companies Act, the government appoints its own nominee members on the board of a nationalised bank under which Ravneet Kaur has been appointed on the PNB board.
