Rupee weakens by 25 paise against $

The Indian rupee depreciated by 25 paise against the US $ in early trade today on expectations of capital outflow of funds from the domestic bourses amid weak Asian markets.

At the Interbank Foreign Exchange (Forex) market, the domestic unit was quoted lower at 49.55, down 25 paise from its previous close of 49.30/31.
