The State Bank of India (SBI) has proposed to open 13 branches and install 192 new ATMs, including 51 ATMs at railway stations, within the Lucknow Circle in 2006-07. | |
| This was informed by Shiva Kumar, chief general manager, SBI, Lucknow Circle. He was speaking at a Credit Camp organised by SBI at village Mijwan in Azamgarh district in Uttar Pradesh, where loans were distributed to rural populace of the area. |

| Loans worth more than Rs. 9 crores were sanctioned and disbursed to 550 beneficiaries, for the purchase of tractors, kisan credit cards; cash credit limits; SME credit cards, credit linkages of self help groups and other agricultural homes. |

| "The banking industry has witnessed various changes during recent months. Capitalizing on these changes SBI has come out with various innovative schemes like 'On Line Business Center' (OLBC), for the benefit of its customers," said Kumar. |

| OLBC is a 'one-stop financial shop' stationed at Lucknow, where any banking needs in the Lucknow circle can be attended to. It also provides door step service in appropriate cases. |

| Kumar informed that SBI has set a target of Rs. 750 crores for agriculture lending, for the remaining years of the current fiscal in the Lucknow Circle. This will include issuance of 115000 Kisan Credit Cards, 6000 Kisan Gold Cards, 13000 tractors and 7000 units of dairy. |

| He addedt a target of Rs. 800 crores has been set for small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) advances, small scale industries (SSI), trade and services (Rs. 93 crore for SSI). This includes 3350 trade advances, 5500 SME credit cards, 1400 mortgage loans and 1350 SSI loans. |

| It is also estimated that around two lakh people will gain employment from Bank's financial assistance as stated above during the current financial year. |
