Press Note Viral Hemorrhagic Fever cases reported from a Private Hospital in Jodhpur
The Chief Medical Officer of Jodhpur District has informed the State Health Authorities, Jaipur, Rajasthan regarding reporting of high grade fever in five hospital functionaries working in a private hospital in Jodhpur. Two of them developed Thrombocytopenia (fall in blood platelet count) and showed hemorrhagic manifestations. One person died at this hospital on 18.01.2015 and the other person, air lifted to AIIMS, Delhi, died on 21.01.2015. Samples have been sent from these patients to National Institute of Virology, Pune for testing.
