The average salary offered by companies visiting IIT-Hyderabad for student placements saw a growth of 12 per cent this academic season.
In the first week of the placement season, 42 undergraduates and 25 postgraduates were placed by a total of 67 companies. If included the pre-placements, the total offers stood at 77. There were three international offers so far.
The highest annual package offered in the postgraduate programme (MTech) stood at Rs 29 lakh, while it was Rs 28 lakh for BTech.
Companies visiting the campus include e-commerce giants Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal, Tata Motors, Mercedes Benz, HP, Eaton, Bank of America, Paypal, Yahoo Japan, Strands Life Science, Informatica and Dell R&D.
