66 stocks gain over 50% in 1-month; Future Market, Bombay Dyeing zoom 100%

The S&P BSE Smallcap index hit a new high of 16,471 today, has rallied 9.5%, against 2.2% rise in Sensex since August 11.

Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing, Himachal Futuristic Communications, Emkay Global Financial Services, Future Consumer and JBM Auto are among 66 stocks that rallied more than 50% in past one month on BSE.

Of these 65 stocks, only 18 stocks are from the S&P BSE Smallcap index, while the remaining 47 are non-index stocks. Future Market Enterprises, Bombay Dyeing and Transcorp International have seen their market values more-than-doubled.

The S&P BSE Smallcap index hit a new high of 16,471 today, has outperformed the market by gaining 9.5% since August 11, 2017. On comparison, the S&P BSE Midcap index up 8%, while the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex up 2.2% during the period.
Future Market Networks has zoomed 158% from Rs 67 to Rs 173, despite the stock down 9% in past two trading sessions.

While announcing June quarter results on August 14, the company engaged in property and related services business said it shall acquire situated in Nagpur to set up a warehouse of 1 million sq ft facility. The company shall set up and manage the warehouse facility through 100% subsidiary as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) Company. For this purpose the company acquired Gati Realtors. The company shall infuse an amount of up to Rs 11 crore by way of equity capital in the SPV initially.

HFCL soared 85% from Rs 15.40 to Rs 28.45 on BSE.  On September 6, 2017 Grantham Mayo Van Otterloo - Emerging Markets Quality Fund bought 11.08 million equity shares representing 0.89% of total holding of HFCL at Rs 23.92 on the NSE.

Panacea Biotech too surged 85% from Rs 134 to Rs 248 today. The board of directors of the company will meet on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 to consider an enabling resolution for fund raising option by way of including but not limited to qualified institutions placement (QIP), foreign currency convertible bond (FCCB), convertible securities or any other method.

The board will also consider and approve demerger of real estate business of the company through scheme of arrangement subject to applicable approvals,” Panacea Biotech said in a statement.
