Almond futures rise on spot demand

In range-bound trading, almond prices rose by Rs 3 to Rs 338 per kg in futures trade today, as speculators enlarged their positions on expectations of pick up in demand.
Slowdown in arrivals from the producing regions also influenced the trading sentiment.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, almond for September-month rose by Rs 3, or 0.90 per cent, to Rs 338 per kg, with a business volume of 3 lots.
Marketmen said speculators enlarged their positions on hopes of rise in demand in the coming festival season.
