In range-bound movements, aluminium traded 0.44% higher in futures trading today in line with a firming trend at the London Metal Exchange. 

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, aluminium for delivery in July gained 50 paise, or 0.44% to Rs 114.50 per kg, with a business turnover of three lots.

The metal for delivery in May also strengthened by 40 paise, or 0.35% to Rs 113.25 per kg, with a trading volume of two lots. 

Market analysts said a firming trend in the entire base metals pack at the LME on hopes of pick-up in demand and a firming trend at the domestic spot markets mainly influenced the trading sentiments at futures trade here.  

Meanwhile, at the London Metal Exchange aluminium gained 0.30% to $2,512 per tonne.
