Britannia Industries gains on strong numbers

For the year ended March 2008, the company's net profit rose 77.51 per cent to Rs 191 crore over 18.24 per cent increase in total income to Rs 2635 crore. The stock saw total trades of 1,896 shares against a two-week average of 1,409 shares. This defensive stock has gained 8.76 per cent in the last one month.
