Restricted arrivals from southern producing regions also supported the uptrend

Cardamom futures prices today rose by Rs 19.10 to Rs 1,380 per kg as speculators created fresh positions, tracking a firming trend at the spot market on pick-up in demand.
Restricted arrivals from southern producing regions also supported the uptrend in cardamom futures prices.
At the MCX, cardamom for delivery in August rose by Rs 19.10, or 1.40%, to Rs 1,380 per kg in a business turnover of 18 lots.
The June contract moved up by Rs 8.70, or 0.65%, to Rs 1,355.20 per kg in 176 lots.
Market analysts said fresh buying by speculators on the back of pick-up in spot demand, mainly led to the rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
