Chevoit records gains on bonus issue plan

Chevoit Co surged 11.17 per cent on Wednesday to reach Rs 460.3, after touching a high of Rs 484.9. A total of 6,221 shares exchanged hands on the BSE.

The stock has gained 10.93 per cent over the past week. The rise on Wednesday was after the company fixed September 12 as the record date for its bonus issue.

Subsequently, the equity share capital will increase to Rs 4.51 crore. This is a maiden bonus issue from the company, which declared a 100 per cent dividend for FY06. The company operates in two segments "� jute goods and captive power generation.
