Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has moved higher by 2% at Rs 1,760 after the company said it has launched Metoprolol Succinate tablets used for treating high blood pressure in the American market.
“The company has launched Metoprolol Succinate extended- release tablets in the strengths of 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg and 200 mg in the US market,” Dr Reddy's Laboratories said in a statement.
Toprol-XL and its generics had sales of nearly $1.13 billion in the US for the 12- month period ending June, 2012, according to IMS Health data, the pharma company said.
The stock opened at Rs 1,735 and touched high of Rs 1,762 on the NSE. A total 247,807 shares have changed hands on the counter so far on the NSE and BSE.
