The Sensex is now up 276 points at 15,444.
The NSE Nifty is up 68 points at 4,598.
Jaiprakash Associates has zoomed 7.7% to Rs 198.
ICICI Bank and Maruti have surged 4.7% each to Rs 763 and Rs 713, respectively.
SBI and Reliance Infrastructure have rallied over 4% each to Rs 1,584 and Rs 1,075, respectively.
Reliance Communications has gained 3.5% at Rs 453. DLF and Reliance have advanced 3% each to Rs 565 and Rs 2,320, respectively.

ONGC and HDFC Bank have moved up 2.5% each to Rs 1,091 and Rs 1,311, respectively. HDFC is up over 2% at Rs 2,568.
Sterlite has tumbled over 2% to Rs 625. TCS has shed 1.6% at Rs 829, and Hindustan Unilever is down 1% at Rs 240.
Out of 2,712 stocks traded so far, 1,741 have advanced, 916 have declined and 55 are unchanged.
