Rising for the second straight session, gold prices spurted by Rs 45 to Rs 32,270 per 10 grams at the bullion market Saturday on increased buying by local jewellers and positive cues from overseas markets.
Silver too climbed by Rs 100 to Rs 39,600 per kg due to pick up in demand from coin makers ahead of Diwali festival.
Marketmen said apart from a firm trend overseas, persistent buying by local jewellers to meet festive season demand boosted gold prices at the domestic spot markets.
