Gur futures decline by Rs 14.50 on profit-booking

Gur prices declined by Rs 14.50 to Rs 978.50 per quintal in futures today on profit-booking by traders at prevailing higher levels.

Market analysts said fresh gur arrivals mainly influenced prices in the futures market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, gur for January delivery fell by Rs 14.50, or 1.46 per cent, to Rs 978.50 per quintal with an open interest in 10,080 lots.

Gur for March delivery also slipped by Rs 9.50, or 0.88 per cent, to Rs 1,064.50 per quintal with an open interest in 20,250 lots.
