Commodity analysts maintained there is no reason for the market to weaken. "A slight correction has set in due to good supply in the physical market. However, there is no slowdown in overseas demand, which is well enough to keep the market firm," said Mumbai-based commodity analysts.

The arrivals have been maintained around 14,000-16,000 bags (each 55 kg) compared with around 8,000-9,000 bags in the previous week.

However, reports suggest that the domestic buyers are wary now due to rising prices. Once, the overseas demand drops, the prices too will decline to earlier levels, feel marketmen.
