Arrivals of chilli crop ~35,000 bags while spot rates were quoted steady around '58-'62 per kg, based on crop quality.

Arrivals of new jeera crop increased about 25,000 bags while demand too has picked up among stockist & exporters at auctions held at Unjha market. Spot rate were quoted around 124-'126 per kg, as per local traders.

Spot rates of pepper garbled declined '360 per kg and that of un-garbled was down at '345 per kg. Arrivals declined to 17 tons while trades too were down at 15 tons at auctions held at Kochi market, as per IPSTA.

Arrivals of new turmeric crop stood steady ~10,000 bags at Nizamabad market & about 6,000 bags were reported across mandis of Erode. Spot rates were up & quoted in the range of '60-'63 per kg across different locations.

Turmeric production in 2012-13 is expected declined by around 50-60% compared to last year's historical high of 90lakh bags (1 bag= 70kgs), as per market reports.

Average price of small cardamom increased to '645.6 per kg while maximum price offered was up at '1,001 per kg, as per spice board.

Total inflow of small cardamom crop increased to 64.1 tons from which ~63.2 tons were sold at KCPMC auction held at Thekkady.

Arrivals of Soya bean crop declined to about 50,000 bags at MP market, while supply across mandis of Maharashtra & Rajasthan declined to about 10,000-12,000 each, as per trade reports.

Spot rates of soya bean crop offered by planters were up at '35-'35.5 per kg while rates across mandis of Indore were steady at '34-'34.5 per kg, as per local traders. Spot rates of soya bean seed Indore (ex-mandi) closed up at '33 per kg while that of Mustard seed Rajasthan closed at '34.3 per kg, as per SEA of India.

Guar seed arrivals increased to 19,091 quintals, while the average of the closing spot rates were at '9,646.4 per quintal.

Inflow of mustard seed crop increased to 69,223 quintals, while average of closing spot rates were down at '3,068.3 per quintal, as per agriculture marketing board of Rajasthan.

Arrivals of chana crop stood ~0.9-1lakh bags while spot rates were quoted in the range of '3,400-'3,550 per quintal, as per market reports.

Spot rates of mentha oil hovered around '1,330-'1,360 across major trading centers while futures traded steadily after falling sharply earlier in the week. Average arrivals across major trading centers stood steady ~280-300 drum
