Nickel down 0.2% on Asian cues

Prices fell as speculators trimmed their positions

Nickel futures for April declined by Rs 1.50, or 0.16%, to Rs 910 per kg in 942 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract shed 70 paise, or 0.08%, to Rs 919 per kg in 39 lots.

Prices fell as speculators trimmed their positions.

Subdued demand from alloy-makers in the domestic spot markets also weighed on the prices.

Weakening trend in base metals in the Asian region on demand concerns after Chinese manufacturing missed estimates affected the nickel futures here.
