The plant will have a grinding capacity of 5.5 million tonnes and clinker capacity of four million tones. The estimated project cost is around Rs 2,500 crore. Vicat also proposes to acquire a 6.67 per cent stake in the company at Rs 700 per share.

The counter saw trading volumes of 1,12,050 shares, which is about eight times its two-week average. The intraday high-low was Rs 394.85-Rs 375.
