Sensex down 239pts; all index stocks in red

The Sensex is now down 239 points at 14,325.

All index stocks have now slipped into the negative territory.

Maruti has plunged 4.5% to Rs 621. Reliance Infrastrucutre and Tata Steel have tumbled around 3.5% each to Rs 957 and Rs 581, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates and Reliance Communications have shed 3% each at Rs 159 and Rs 384, respectively.

Bharti Airtel and SBI have slipped 2.8% each to Rs 813 and Rs 1,366, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank and NTPC have dropped 2.5% each to Rs 239, Rs 655 and Rs 171, respectively.

Sterlite, BHEL and Ranbaxy have declined 2.3% eac to Rs 613, Rs 1,667 and Rs 507, respectively.

Tata Power and Tata Motors are down 2% each at Rs 1,030 and Rs 432, respectively.

Out of 2,395 stocks traded so far, 1,340 have declined, 990 have advanced and 65 are unchanged.
