Sensex down nearly 200pts; breadth -ve

The NSE Nifty is down 24 points at 4,025.

ONGC has soared 4.5% to Rs 887.

NTPC, SBI and Reliance Infrastructre have surged over 3% each to Rs 167, Rs 1,261 and Rs 827, respectively.

Tata Steel has gained 2.8% at Rs 685. Tata Motors has moved up 2.5% to Rs 410.

Reliance and Hindustan Unilever have advanced 2% each to Rs 2,057 and Rs 219, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has gained 1.7% at Rs 2,397. Cipla has added 1.5% to Rs 214.

Ranbaxy has slumped 9.7% to Rs 480.

Satyam has plunged 7.4% to Rs 411, and Infosys has tumbled over 7% to Rs 1,558. TCS has shed 3.5% at Rs 772.

BHEL and HDFC Bank are down over 3% each at Rs 1,475 and Rs 1,035, respectively.

ITC and Hindalco have declined over 2% each to Rs 171 and Rs 152, respectively.

Out of 2,586 stocks traded so far, 1,517 have declined, 997 have advanced and 72 are unchanged.
