Silver futures down 0.44% on global cues

Reduced offtake by traders affected the trade

Silver futures for March fell by Rs 260, or 0.44% to Rs 58,801 per kg in 12,198 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract traded lower by Rs 258, or 0.43% to Rs 60,171 per kg in 60,429 lots.

Prices rose as participants trimmed positions.

Reduced offtake by traders amid a weak global trend kept pressure on silver futures trade.

In London, silver shed 0.12% to $31.98 an ounce.
