Kawasaki launches Versys1000 in India for Rs 14 lakhs approx

Kawasaki proudly presents the Versys1000 for Rs 14.2 lakhs approximately on-road in Pune, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 12.9lakhs. This is a very popular in the European market and comes with an in-line four-cylinder 1043cc engine. This is a liquid-cooled engine that produces 118bhp of power and 101Nm of torque. Kawasaki has also inaugurated a new showroom in Kolkata.
In India, the bike will be imported as completely built units (CBU) from Japan and will be retailed through the standalone showrooms of Kawasaki in Pune, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and also in Kolkata.

The Versys1000s engine and chassis were designed to maximize rider enjoyment on the street. The chassis balance and long-travel suspension settings enable superb control and feedback, offering a high level of rider confidence in numerous street riding situations and accommodating a variety of riding styles. The almost zen-like serenity is complemented by a relaxed, upright riding position that offers a high level of machine control as well as a good vantage ahead. The nimble aluminium chassis and sporty 17 wheels enable aggressive sport riding when the mood suits.

Mr. Shigeto Nishikawa, Dy Managing Director, India Kawasaki Motors said, We have launched superbikes ranging from Ninja ZX-14R, ZX-10R, Ninja1000, Z1000, Z800 and now Versys1000. We have also eagerly absorbed feedback and valuable insight from customers and put every effort to raise ourselves to be a higher and superb level of service provider to customers. We have recently offered a special price for the Z800 till the end of March due to the effort taken by our Indian colleagues. With those factors considered, we are targeting to grow by 50% over the last year in this year.
