The ML is the company's mid-size SUV, which is currently available as ML 250 CDI and ML 350 CDI. There is already the ML 63 AMG, as the more powerful version. The ML's next-version will be called as the GLE, as per the new nomenclature from Mercedes-Benz. A 4.6-litre 456bhp engine that will produce a maximum torque of 700Nm will power the ML 500. This engine also powers the new-generation S-Class as well. Mercedes-Benz has commenced the assembly of the S-Class in India, and this engine will be shared with ML-Class as well. The assembly of the ML-Class commenced in 2013 and this will be a new addition to the Mercedes-Benz SUV fleet. We could expect the company to commence the assembly of the ML 500 as well. The reason why we state that the ML 500 will be assembled is because if Mercedes-Benz had to import the ML petrol, then it could have done it with the ML550.
