One policeman lost his life and four others were injured in an explosion that took place on Saturday in the coastal region of Alexandria in Egypt.
The Egyptian Interior Ministry confirmed the incident.
The explosion took place days ahead of Egypt's presidential election.
The Interior Ministry further informed that the explosion occurred in the district of Roshdi as the head of the Alexandria Security Directorate was passing by.
No group has claimed the responsibility for the explosion yet.
The Presidential elections are scheduled to take place between 26- 28 March where ruling President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi is expected to be re-elected.
