AAP not committed to any principle, interested in pure power: BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday said that the series of allegations that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders have been putting on each other indicates that the party is not committed to any principles, but only interested in having access to pure power.

"Well, one thing that may emerge from all these allegations and counter allegations is that the true may come out. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has clearly shown that it is not committed to any principles. It is only interested in pure power," BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli told ANI.

"They are not interested in responsibility, they only like to do allegations and will remove anyone who stands in the way of Mr. Kejriwal's power. That is what it appears," he added.

The AAP national disciplinary committee had earlier on Monday expelled Prashant Bhushan, Yogendra Yadav, Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha for 'gross indiscipline' and 'anti-party activities'.

Comprising of Pankaj Gupta, Ashish Khetan and Dinesh Vaghela, the disciplinary committee met at 6pm at 514, VP House and reached a unanimous decision to expel the four party rebels.

"The AAP disciplinary committee has expelled Prashant Bhushan, Yogendra Yadav, Professor Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha from the party," Pankaj Gupta told ANI.

Reacting to his expulsion from the party Yogendra Yadav said such a move would only strengthen his and others resolve to move forward. He also said that the expulsion has given him some sense of peace.

Meanwhile, according to reports, Bhushan made serious charges against Khetan saying that the latter had planted stories for Essar in Tehelka magazine where he used to work.
