Double World Champion Fernando Alonso has disliked Ferrari team boss Marco Mattiacci's comments that unfavorably compared him to Sebastian Vettel.
Mattiacci has previously stated that Vettel, who replaced Alonso at Ferrari, would bring the enthusiasm needed to go through certain difficult moments that are waiting. On contrary, Alonso said that Mattiacci has only been here for a few months and has not seen how he (Alonso) has fought every single race for the past five years, the BBC reported.
Alonso further said that the Ferrari chief kept on delaying regarding his negotiation about the end of the contract and subsequently Mattiacci had to finally find another driver when he decided to leave Ferrari.
Inspite of driving an inferior car, Alonso had managed to finish second in the championship three times in the past four years, with losing out at the last race twice.
Alonso is expected to join McLaren next season.
