Women activist Jagmati Sangwan on Thursday backed CPI leader Atul Anjan over his controversial statement made at a public rally in Uttar Pradesh, where he claimed that actress Sunny Leone's condom advertisements helps to promote rape across the country. She said that Anjan was not against the person, but against the advertisement.

"Atul Anjan is against the advertisement and not against the person. Yes, he had named her and her roles also, but those shouldn't be taken personally." Sangwan told ANI
"We also demand that such advertisements should be banned from the media as they instigate sexual violence against women." she added.
