Apple reportedly left its iOS users at risk with a three-week delay in handling security threats.

A former Apple security engineer Kristin Paget pointed out many vulnerabilities and criticized her former employer's software patching that put the users' security at risk.

According to PC World, many of those vulnerabilities were located in the Safari browser, WebKit, the Web rendering engine used by iOS and other OS X applications, while most of them had been found by members of the Google Chrome security team.

Paget added that majority of the vulnerabilities were same as those noticed earlier in Safari 6.1.3 and 7.0.3.
