Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit mandaps at the Dhakeshwari National Temple and R.K. Mission in Dhaka to exchange greetings with Hindu devotees celebrating Mahasaptami Puja.
This was confirmed by Nirmal Chatterjee, the Joint Secretary of the Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad.
According to The Daily Star, Hindus across the country celebrated Mahasasthi Puja on the first day of the five-day Durga Puja yesterday.
Thousands of devotees attended to receive the Goddess Durga and her children Lakshmi, Saraswati, Kartik and Ganesh.
