The Indian men' s hockey team suffered a 0-4 loss at the hands of the aggressive Belgium side as they succumbed to pressure in the semi-final of the Hockey World League (HWL) here on Friday.
The fourth ranked team continued with their aggressive intent, with striker Florent van Aubel scoring three goals and Tanguy Cosyns scoring one at the KHC Dragons Stadium in Antwerp.
Despite dominating the first half of the game, the Sardar Singh-led team could not convert any of the opportunities into goals.
The host nation will now face the winner of the other semi-final clash between Australia and Great Britain while India will lock horns with the loser of this match for the bronze medal.
All the four semi-finalists from the Hockey World League have secured place in the 2016 Rio Olympics, with India's qualification already assured post their Asian Games gold medal in Incheon.
