England batsman Ian Bell has said that he believes new head coach Peter Moores will be a better England cricket coach second time around.

Moores, who was England's coach during a two-year spell from 2007 to 2009, was forced out after a rift with Kevin Pietersen that cost the latter the England captaincy, although English cricket chiefs ended the star batsman's international career after the recent Ashes debacle.

According to News.com.au, Bell, who is one of a handful of senior England players Moores inherited after Andy Flower stood down following the team's 5-0 Ashes drubbing in Australia, made a 50 during a 39-run victory away to Scotland in a rain-marred ODI in Aberdeen on Friday.

Hailing Moores, Bell said that the former Lancashire coach has a lot of qualities and believes that Moores has learnt from the mistakes he made during his previous stint, adding that Moores has the experience of understanding international cricket a bit more.

Bell however, hoped that Moores would give the senior players a bit more responsibility instead of looking at statistics all the time, as it is important for the seniors to make decisions.

Bell, who has played 98 Tests and 141 ODIs, however, believes there is no substitute for player responsibility although he sees no reason why the current side cannot rise again.
