In Bihar, a special meeting of the Cabinet has been convened on Saturday to dissolve 15th Bihar Legislative Assembly.
A joint meeting of the newly elected legislators of the grand alliance will be held this afternoon to elect Nitish Kumar as leader of the alliance.
Thereafter, Nitish will stake claim to form government in the state. The oath taking ceremony of Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister will be held at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Friday.
Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said the party has recommended Nitish Kumar as the leader of grand alliance.
Lalu has been authorized to take all decisions on behalf of RJD regarding formation of new government in Bihar and to nominate leader of the party in the Assembly. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of newly elected RJD legislators in Patna yesterday.
