BJP wants Opposition to welcome PM Modi's initiatives on black money

Commenting on cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan's recent appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiatives over black money, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sambit Patra on Friday said that the opposition should also welcome this step instead of politicizing it.

"The kind of initiative the Prime Minister has taken on black money is historical. He will surely get back the stashed black money and the move is being welcomed by people around the world. The opposition of this country should also praise this initiative instead of politicizing it," said Patra.

Former cricketer and politician Imran Khan has lauded Prime Minister Modi for raising the issue of black money and for making efforts to bring back India's money stashed abroad.

Imran Khan, who has been protesting against similar issues in Pakistan, had said that no matter what anyone says about him, there is no denying that Prime Minister Modi is a "faithful man".
