Blair Underwood, best known for starring as a headstrong attorney on the NBC legal drama 'L.A. Law', has been cast for the title role in Shakespeare's classic tragedy 'Othello'.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 49-year-old actor will play the Moor of Venice at the Old Globe in San Diego alongside Richard Thomas and Kristen Connolly, who will star as Iago and Desdemona respectively.
The Barry Edelstein-helmed show will commence on June 22 in the Old Globe's Lowell Davies Festival Theatre in Balboa Park.
