Janata Dal-United (JD-U) leader, K.C. Tyagi said Monday that it is the habit of the BJP to first create communal flare ups through their speeches, and then do a volte-face to get into the public's mind space.

"BJP has two faces, first they make communal speeches to create disharmony, then they make their spokesperson speak to deny what they have said, so that both views sink into the public view," Tyagi said.

The BJP has dropped the poll anthem as the lines spoken by Modi - "main desh nahin jhukne dunga ... main desh nahin mitne dunga (I will not let the nation bow down/be rubbed out)" is being seen as overtly aggressive.
