Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday said that 'Make in India' is the priority of his government and they are trying to make the process of setting up business easy to bring investment in the state.
"We are trying to make the process of setting up business easy in Chhattisgarh. The time taken by different department to grant permission for setting up any business is reduced. We have made this procedure short. 'Make in India' or 'Make in Chhattisgarh' is our priority and we are trying to increase the rate of investment in the state," said Singh.
He further said that as the time is changing, it has become important to interact with the people through various means of communication and this responsibility lies on the public relation officers of various districts and the government.
"We will discuss about the success story of the state and try to know the reaction of people on it as it is very important. The benefits of Ujjwala Yojana, benefits of efforts that are being made, benefits of construction of roads, role of medical college, bridges, dams. These things make stories, but it is also important to let people know about the success story behind them," he added.
Chhattisgarh had designed its new industrial policy aimed at inviting investors to manufacture the product in the mineral-rich state after taking a leaf from Prime Minister's 'Make in Inida' concept.
Earlier this month , the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) was launched in Chhattisgarh, as per which about 25 lakh poor families in the state will get a gas connection which means out of every 100 families, 75 will have the gas connection.
Singh termed the PMUY 'historic' in terms of women empowerment, health safety and respect.
