While the Australian Cricket Team made a visit to the Australian High Commission in London on July 16, captain Clarke stunned guests by choosing not to speak anything formal but instead calling each of his team members on stage to say something personal.
According to news.com.au, Clarke also shrugged off the controversy involving former coach Mickey Arthur and his rant about feuds and racism with a hilarious "insider's review" of the Australia XI.
Teammate Shane Watson said that they had no idea he was going to do that and said that it could have been worse for him, but he got off lightly.
The address was received with cheers and applause from the largely ex-pat Aussie community as well as British dignitaries, the report said.
