The Congress Party on Wednesday alleged that the NDA Government's policy on national security has been 'opaque'.
"National security is the concern of the entire 125 crore people of this country. Modi Government's policy on national security has been 'opaque'. It is unclear. Signals continue to emanate that Modi Government is soft on terror or is unable to tackle terror in an appropriate manner or fashion," Surjewala told the media here.
"They can always discuss various issues of national security across the political spectrum. There is no bar. It has been done in the past, it can be done again," he added.
Earlier today, one terrorist was nabbed by the security forces after the Udhampur militant attack in which two BSF jawans were killed.
Terrorists wearing army fatigue attacked a BSF convoy, which was on its way from Jammu to Srinagar, at Narsu nullah near Samroli.
The attack took place just days after former Pakistan Director General Tariq Khosa's revelation that there is evidence to link the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) to 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
According to reports, India is likely to raise the recent revelations by Khosa and the recent incidents of ceasefire violations along the Line of Control during the NSA-level dialogue expected to take place later this month.
