The Congress supporters clashed with the police personnel here on Saturday after their delegation was stopped from entering Makra village in Birbhum district.
The Congress delegation led by West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, party MP Abhijit Mukherjee and others had come here to take stock of the situation post the violence in Makra village.
Angry protestors tried to break the barricades leading to a scuffle with the police.
Last month, three persons were reportedly killed and as many injured, and at least five houses were set on fire when the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the BJP supporters fought a gun battle at Makra village in Birbhum district.
