A Dalit youth in Punjab's Mansa district has been hacked to death on the suspicion that he was acting as an informer for liquor contractors and the police and helping in exposing illegal sale of liquor in his area.
Sukhchain Singh, 20, a resident of Gharangna village, was allegedly beaten to death by seven people on Monday night. The mutilated body of Sukhchain was spotted near his home later.
As per the police, Sukhchain's killers chopped his left leg and might have taken it along.
