Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman Qazi Khalilullah on Thursday stated that underworld don Dawood Ibrahim is not hiding in Pakistan and added that this had been their government's stand in the matter since the beginning.

Speaking in a press conference, Khalilullah reiterated that Dawood had never been in Pakistan and asserted that their government had been resolute with their stand since the beginning.

He also added that Pakistan's permanent representative had briefed the UN about the failed NSA level talks between India and Pakistan, while stressing that Kashmir was an outstanding issue that 'needed to be resolved through talks'.

The NSA-level talks that were scheduled on August 23 were called off after the Pakistan NSA Sartaj Aziz and the Hurriyat leaders did not back off from their meeting in New Delhi.

Another issue for the last-minute cancellation of the talks was Pakistan's insistence on including Kashmir as part of the agenda for the talks that was mainly scheduled to discuss terror.
