A minor fire broke out at the Gujarat Bhawan on Kautilya Marg in the Chanakyapuri area of the national capital.
Fire tenders were rushed to the stop and the blaze was soon brought under control.
"We received a call informing us about the fire at around 8 am and rushed to the spot, and were able to douse fire in about 40 minutes," Delhi Fire Service Assistant Divisional Officer Vedpal said.
"It was an old banquet hall with old furniture. The Gujarat Bhawan administration will look into the matter," he added.
