Some of the most popular names from the music industry came together at the 2019 Grammys to pay a special tribute to music icon Dolly Parton.

Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris and Little Big Town, among many others honoured the legendary singer, revealed The Hollywood Reporter.

Perry and Musgraves opened the special tribute with a duet of 'Here You Come Again' in matching red jumpsuits. Both the costumes were inspired by Parton's outfits from the 1970s and 1980s.

Halfway through the performance, Parton joined Perry and Musgraves onstage, dressed in a white lace gown to finish the song.

Cyrus, who is Parton's goddaughter, also performed 'Jolene', wearing a golden suit. Miley Cyrus' father Billy Ray Cyrus and sister Noah Cyrus were also seen dancing and cheering in the crowd.

They were then joined by Morris, who sang 'After the Gold Rush'. Parton later thanked Cyrus and Morris and sent them offstage.

She then welcomed onstage country group 'Little Big Town' to perform 'Red Shoes', which is a new song that Parton co-wrote with Linda Perry for the Netflix rom-com 'Dumplin' and the whole group came together at the end to sing Parton's biggest hit '9 to 5'.

The star-studded crowd was seen enjoying and cheering during the performance.

Parton, an eight-time Grammy winner, performed for the first time on the Grammys stage since 2001. She was celebrated for both her musical career and her charitable contributions.

Parton was also honoured at the MusiCares gala on Saturday night, where Cyrus, Perry, Shawn Mendes, Willie Nelson, Brandi Carlile and Little Big Town had performed for the star.
