Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Dhananjay Singh and his wife Jagriti Singh were sent to four days judicial custody on Monday, in connection with the murder of a 35-year old maid.
They were produced before Metropolitan Magistrate Gomati Manocha, after the expiry of their five days' police custody.
Earlier on November 5, BSP MP from Jaunpur Dhananjay Singh and his wife Jagriti Singh were arrested on charges of the death of a 35-year-old maid Rakhi, and torturing another minor domestic help.
The body of maid Rakhi, with several injury marks on her legs, chest and arms, was recovered from Singh's residence at South Avenue here on November 4.
