The movie is set in the backdrop of a hilly village of Goa.

It revolves around Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgan), who is a cable TV operator and lives a simple middle class life with his beautiful wife Nandini (Shriya) and two lovely daughters.

Vijay is an orphaned fourth class dropout and works his way through all adversities with both toil and street smartness.

He believes he can do anything for his family. His wife, Nandini, loves him too, and wants his miserable life to improve. She is also willing to do anything for her family.

Vijay is very passionate about watching movies, and due to this, he doesn't mind staying up all night in his office to watch movies.

The movie takes a twist, when Sam, the son of Inspector General of Police Meera Deshmukh (Tabu), blackmails the elder daughter and Nandini through an MMS clip showing the former taking a bath. Thereafter, in a freak incident, Sam dies.

What follows is a story full of further twists and turns. Vijay uses his good reputation and street smartness to his advantage and figures out a plan to save his family.

In the meantime, he and a police inspector do not get on well, and the latter is hell bent on taking his revenge.

On the day of the incident, the police inspector sees Vijay driving Sam's car, and then, decides to drag Vijay and his family into a case.

Meanwhile, a strong headed and a no nonsense Meera is desperate to find her son and tries to extract anything and everything from Vijay and his family.

The story from here on is a ripper, filled with an edge of the seat suspense and having various twists and turns.

The climax is just awesome and worth watching and waiting for.

Performance-wise, Ajay is very good, as is Tabu. Shriya and the daughters have also acted brilliantly and do justice to their characters.

The film's direction and screenplay is very good, while the music is okay. I would say, the movie is must watch.
