South African all-rounder JP Duminy has said that the team has a lot to take from their loss against Sri Lanka and they will have to bring their 'A' game in their second World Twenty20 match against New Zealand.
Duminy said that South Africa take a lot of confidence, especially from the bowlers after the way Sri Lanka started the match and they did well to 'bring it back' adding that five runs was the difference and they could have 'made it up' in the middle overs.
According to Sport24, the all-rounder said that in the first game a team is trying to feel its way in the tournament adding that the conditions in Bangladesh are totally different to what the South African team has experienced in the warm-up matches.
Duminy also said that it would be an uphill battle for them in their upcoming match adding that New Zealand, who are ranked at seventh position below the fourth-placed South Africa, come with a lot of confidence into the tournament as they have been playing well over the last few months.
South Africa needs to win their last three matches against New Zealand, Netherlands and England in order to make it to the semi-finals of the tournament, the report added.
